The West 36 site is comprised of 490 acres of privately owned land situated along Rio Verde Drive in the Rio Verde area of Maricopa County. The site, along with the preceding master-planned communities in the area, has been designated for residential development by Maricopa County-approved Development Master Plans since the early 1980s.

As planned, West 36 is envisioned to develop into a vibrant community that respects the natural environment and provides sustainable, responsible development complementing the existing communities in the area.
